“ Let me tell you about steak ‘n Shake, I decided to go in and eat, and it was extremely busy. We got seated by a hostess. Waited.. seen a party of 11 come in, still waited seen a few other people come in so our hostess decided to go to the table of 11 before serving us. Then served on the other 2 party’s before us. I got up and said something to her and she couldn’t even look at me. Luckily, Monica is very awesome and cool and says they don’t operate like that and she apologize, very professional. And was not frustrated at all about being so busy We got our food to us ASAP and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. The food is delicious every time triple cheeseburger oowee gooey cheesy easy.. the chili is fantastic. First time I had it.. there’s lots of things for the kids to do like coloring or building a race car to wearing a steak ‘n Shake hat, very kid friendly. also kids under 12 eat free. Nice! ”

“ I grew up with Steak and Shake and as a kid, it was consistently great. I no longer live around any, so I only get to one occasionally when traveling. The past 10 years or so, Steak and Shake found numerous ways to disappoint and under deliver at locations in Missouri, Florida, and Iowa. Fast forward to yesterday, I stopped at the Steak and Shake on Clark Lane in Columbia and it was like I went back in time to my childhood. It was great, the burgers were cooked properly, the fries were excellent, shakes were great, service was attentive, it was clean. The menu isn’t as large as it used to be, but that’s ok, they have the basics and I’d rather them do those well then have a bunch of things on the menu that aren’t done properly. Maybe it was a fluke, but I have renewed hope that the Steak and Shake of my childhood is back. ”
